Product Details
SunWave Amber is a compact infrared heating panel with a marble-look finish and dark frame. It gives silent, surface-based warmth in hallways, bedrooms, home offices and small living rooms. Infrared heat warms people and surfaces directly, not just the air. Only 5 cm deep, it hangs on the wall like a picture.
Efficiency
- 300 W for rooms up to about 12 m² in well-insulated spaces, as main or supplementary heating
- Estimated consumption: about 2–3 kWh per day in a well-insulated 10 m² room at 22–23 °C with a thermostat. It depends on insulation and outdoor temperature.
- Thermostat control keeps a stable temperature and lets you heat only the rooms you use
Sustainability
- No fan, so no noise and no stirred-up dust
- Very low emissions: the heating paste has been tested and meets Germany’s AgBB indoor-air requirements (Fraunhofer WKI)
- RoHS compliant (restriction of hazardous substances)
- Certified to ISO 14001 (environmental management) and ISO 9001 (quality management)
- Built from aluminium foil, thermal insulation, wood and porcelain stoneware
Installation – Warranty
- Plug and 1.5 m cable included: hang it, plug it in, enjoy
- No moving parts, nothing to service
- CE marked, with test reports and certificates available on request
- Backed by a 5-year warranty
The surface can reach up to 90 °C in use. Mount it out of reach of children and pets and use a thermostat.
💚 Climate: Electric heating produces no combustion, exhaust gases or carbon dioxide emissions where it’s used. With Sweden’s largely fossil-free electricity, SunWave is a climate-smart way to heat.
FAQ
How big an area does the panel heat, and how many panels do I need?
Up to about 12 m² in a well-insulated room. In older or draughty homes, plan for roughly one panel per 8 m². For larger rooms you can combine several panels or choose our 120×60 cm model. Get in touch and we’ll help you work it out.
Do I need a thermostat, and which one?
We always recommend one. It keeps the temperature stable and controls consumption. Choose a 230 V thermostat rated for the total power of the panels connected to it (a 300 W panel draws about 1.3 A).
Do I need an electrician, and can I install the panel on a ceiling?
Not for a single panel on a wall: it comes with a plug and a 1.5 m cable, so you hang it and plug it in. You need a qualified electrician to hide the cable, to install the panel on a ceiling, or to connect more than one panel to a thermostat (including a smart thermostat), which requires a fixed installation. Get in touch and we can recommend certified electricians near you.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
The panel is not waterproof and must not be placed where it can get wet or splashed, for example in or next to the shower or bath. In a bathroom, place it outside the shower and bath zone and install it according to local electrical rules. We recommend using a qualified electrician.
How quickly does it warm up?
The panel reaches its full surface temperature in about 30 minutes (laboratory test). You feel its radiant warmth as soon as it starts heating, even before the room air has warmed up. How long the room takes to reach your chosen temperature depends on its size, its insulation and the thermostat setting, typically between one and two hours.
Can I use it with solar panels?
Yes. SunWave panels run on ordinary 230 V electricity, so they work well with a home solar system. Any solar power you produce while the panel is on reduces what you buy from the grid. How much you save depends on your system and on how much sun you get when you need heat.
Can I paint on the panel?
Yes, on our ceramic models. Acrylic paint can be used to give the panel exactly the design you like, and it does not affect how the panel works. Paint it while it is switched off and cool, use a thin coat, and let it dry completely before switching it on. This does not apply to our marble-finish panels.
